From One New Mom to Another…
The day the nurse told me it was a boy, my heart swelled with joy and immediately began dreaming of his little life. I wanted nothing but the very best for him, and so I started reading, researching, and exploring everything I could, month by month, from pregnancy to delivery and beyond, always wondering if I was making the right choices, if what I did was good for him, and if it was all normal. The questions never stopped, swirling through my mind with a mix of love, anxiety, and fear, because holding such a tiny life in your hands makes every decision feel immense. I wanted to create a space for new mothers, a place where they could see themselves in the stories of others and quietly say, “I am not alone, this is happening to me too.” My son is my inspiration—his smile lights up my days, and his cries, though maddening at times, remind me how deeply I love him. When he wakes, I wish he would sleep; when he sleeps, I long for him to wake. I am caught between wanting to savor every peaceful moment and fearing the moments that come too quickly. Through all of this, I realized how every mother shares similar joys, fears, and questions. I want to build a gentle community, a circle of mothers supporting one another, where no one feels alone, where we lift each other up, for ourselves and, most importantly, for our precious little ones. — Akanksha Upadhyay, Mother.
